In addition to spreading lime to prepare our fields, we added 50 cubic yards of mushroom compost. Compost is an important ingredient for fertility and soil management because it adds nutrients and microbes and improves soil structure. Thankfully, our friends, the Hastings, helped us spread this compost with their tractor.
