building the walk-in cooler: part 1

| 5/28/23

Shosh used the framing gun for the first time on this project. Here, she’s attaching the 2×4 wall studs to the top plate of the wall.

I had to design the walk-in cooler around the garage doors and windows. Next to the garage door, I decided to include a small bump-out area, a “CSA nook,” for better organization in the cooler.

We used two layers of 2” insulation on the walls and ceiling and added an A/C unit with a temperature controlled. This allows us to set and maintain the cooler temperature remotely.
