breaking ground part 4: plow
After adding our initial fertility of lime and compost on top of the grass, we needed to get those ingredients incorporated into the soil and flip all the sod.
Our neighbors and farmer friends, Bryan and Joanna of Good Dog Farm, were kind enough to lend their time and equipment to plow and disc our field. Plowing did the job of flipping all the grass over and discing, a few weeks later, chopped up and evened-out the ground. This allowed us to move on to tilling and forming the permanent beds.
