Here’s a video Nick made that shows him building the produce stand. It took us a long time to decide on a design. We wanted to make it eye-catching and mobile, and we wanted it to stand out against the array of produce stands in the neighborhood. Nick was adamant that we needed something unique. We also needed it to provide some shade for the vegetables.

This trailer was a hand-me-down from Nick’s brother, something Nick is very familiar with as the youngest of six. We decided to repurpose the construction trailer and turn it into a produce stand.

One of the biggest challenges: creating ergonomic shelves around the heavy duty steel frame. Nick later added ply-wood backing with chalk paint and a built-in cooler, which keeps temperature-sensitive vegetables out of the sun.
