Over time, our beds tend to lose their shape. Occasionally, we use the two-wheeled tractor with the rotary plow to add dirt from the pathways to the beds. This helps the beds maintain a raised shape.

Slightly raised beds drain water better, which can help prevent roots from rotting in soggy soil.
