We dug a series of trenches off the house to bury the water lines. This water line would later get rerouted around a high tunnel.

When we installed this line, we still thought the maple tree to the left of the pipe was alive. In the spring we learned that the tree was dead, which was sad, but it did allow us to build another high tunnel in our second year, which we did not initially anticipate. We decided to keep all of the trees on the property, as they are all established. Trees provide protection for the crops and help create multiple growing zones on the property.
