herb garden

5/20/23

It’s a funky design, but it works.

We designed these beds to avoid encroaching on the corner of the farm, where the tunnel would be built.

By this point (late May), we noticed that one of our maples wasn’t blooming. Realizing the tree was dead, we decided to build a high tunnel in corner where the tree stood.

We didn’t know the exact dimensions of the tunnel, so we designed these beds to be as far away from the corner of the farm as possible, allowing us to maximize our space inside the deer fence. Operating a relatively small farm requires us to carefully consider our design choices, as we need to maximize our growing space and avoid wasting any prime real estate.
