Silage tarps are effective at weed management. We attempted to smother our grass before breaking ground. Unfortunately, we couldn’t kill the lawn this way due to insufficient daylight, cold temperatures, and time constraints. We use tarps to kill cover crops and prepare beds for the next planting.
